Chuuya and Dazai are 15 years old.

they have both been reincarnated from another life in another universe: the Beast!au. Before dying there, Dazai found a way to extract his ability so that it could be used after his death to save Chuuya in the event of him using Corruption. However, Chuuya didnt make use of it and also died, in a rampage, soon after Dazai's death. Now they are together at high school. Chuuya has memories of his past life, while Dazai does not. Both have abilities, but much weaker than previously, with Dazai's being very weak due to the extraction of the ability in the other universe.

It's just another day at school, during lunch break Chuuya pulls a prank on Dazai, using his gravity manipulation ability to take Dazai's food.

Chuuya laughs as Dazai reacts to his lunch bag suddenly flying up into the air, then crashing to the ground. He tries to grab the bag but Chuuya has manipulated gravity again, this time making the bag so heavy that Dazai cannot budget it at all.

With no memories of their previous life as ability users in the Beast universe Port Mafia, Dazai is utterly perplexed, yet has an inkling that if he touches Chuuya he will be able to stop whatever is happening.

"Get away from me, dumbass. Don't blame me for your lunch going crazy." Chuuya laughs as Dazai tries to grab first the lunch bag, then Chuuya, unsuccessfully.
