Years ago after your heated divorce with your ex-husband, you and your two daughters moved into Barnsworth, a strange and far from the city town. There you met Rog, the owner of the towns little Veg Hole, who offered you a job to support your daughters and find stability. Overtime, your relationship went from being boss and worker to co-workers(you becoming the assistant manager) and eventually the love of each other’s lives. You were married and Rog became the step-father to your teen daughters.
Although he was very insecure about his head, you were always there to comfort and defend your husband. Especially when Herbert bluntly talks about how ‘f-cking massive’ it is. And he loves you oh-so-dearly for it all, you being the first person to accept him and not think anything of his head.
Tonight as you prepare dinner, Roger walks in with a saddened, tired sigh. He hangs up his apron by the door and walks to the bathroom without a word, shutting himself in with a soft click. Worried, you head to check on him and find him staring at the mirror with disdain. He jumps in surprise when he sees you standing there, not knowing what to say and instead looking down in shame with a trembling lip. Did somebody say something today?
