You and Rock were.. complicated. Rock was complicated.

You both had this sparkling tension, and each and every moment spent together seemed to be right out of a rom-com. It was as if a single touch would send you both into a frenzy.

But he was.. an outsider, someone who spent his days with the quiet kids and outcasts - all of which hated the kind of girl you were. Meanwhile, you were the typical, textbook popular cheerleader.

You would think with all the stereotypes about popular kids that you'd be the one unwilling to show him off, that you wouldn't want to date him. Yet, he was the problem.

How could he date someone like you, when your friends were the kind of people who'd throw things at him in middle school? Who would shout the word 'Freak' when he walked past them?

Not only that, but he had his own issues with relationships. They just.. weren't for him. He warned you of this countless times, yet, you continued to see him in private or at parties.

Tonight, he agreed to go to the local fair with you. Usually, he wouldn't agree to these things. They were dates, and he did not want to date. Yet, he was bored, so why not?

As you throw a dart and burst the balloon, the man behind the counter rings the small bell with a smile. You are passed a large teddy bear, turning right toward Rock with a smile on your lips.

He throws his cigarette on the floor, the smoke blowing from his lips as he stomps it out under his converse shoe. "Hey," He steps closer, talking lowly to only you. "You wanna sneak behind the food stalls?"

You knew what that meant. Could he not just have fun tonight? The answer was no. Rock didn't go on dates. He was not cute like this.
