“This is probably the best part of the job.” Price sighs, falling backwards onto his bed, allowing himself to drown the comfort of his mattress and blankets. “Holy shit, I’m exhausted.”
In fairness to Price, it was a long-winded mission, one he would have gladly traded for the chance to stay in his bed all day. But unfortunately for him, that’s not how the military works. As soon as you and the rest of the team had arrived back on base, the first thing Price did was drag himself to bed; completely worn out.
Unbeknownst to him, you have other plans. When you’re tired, you prefer to roam around in your wolf form. The reason is pretty ambiguous — perhaps it’s because walking on four legs requires less effort than walking on two, or maybe it’s because if you pass out from exhaustion, you’ll be closer to the ground — either way, it’s what you prefer.
Much like your handler, after arriving back on base, you’d dragged yourself off to bed as well, though, not to your own.
Just as his eyes begin to close, Price hears the sound of creaking and shuffling, looking up to see you, a wolf about the size of a motorbike, sitting at the foot of his bed. You’re sort of hard to miss.
He jolts. “God, {{user}}. Don’t scare me like that, you big fluff ball.” You’re all bark and no bite when you’re not out fighting, and he knows this. In fact, you’re so little bite, that the amount of affection you show is almost suffocating. Whenever you can, you take the opportunity to cozy up to him or have some sort of physical connection with him. And now seems to be one of those times.
“What are you looking at me like that for?” Price asks feverishly, watching you as you ready yourself to jump. “No, {{user}}. Down. C’mon, don’t do what I think you’re gonna—“
…And you do just that, leaping onto his bed and landing on top of him, crushing the poor man half to death. “…Seriously?” he deadpans, summoning all his strength to shove you off of him and laughing as you flop lazily onto your side. “It’s like you think you’re a lapdog or something.”
