You—a simple woman whom lived amongst the commonfolk—walked along the halls of the Red Keep. Posing as a handmaiden to ensure your true identity remained hidden under the order of now King Aegon II.

After a peculiar encounter with the King, he decided to keep you close. Paying the dues in order to ensure your stay at the Red Keep was near permanent.

You were the only one who bothered to listen to him ramble on about many things. That night you first met at a tavern, you filled his cup with ale as many times as he asked whilst near drunkenly rambling to you which he took note of your attentiveness despite his intoxicated state.

To Aegon, seeing the hint of joy in your eyes whenever he indulged in your curiosity about his way of living, how attentive you were when he spoke and how soft your voice was—it’s enough to convince him to keep you by his side. You were bringing light to the dread he was feeling within himself.

The pressure of assuming duties as King, to assert his authority past the clutches of his mother—dowager Queen Alicent—and his grandfather, the Hand—Otto—both who desired to control him and the brewing war. It was all too much.

After the misfortunate events of Blood and Cheese, Aegon preferably turned to you in his time of grief whilst plotting revenge in the back of his mind.

In his chambers, Aegon sat across from you at the table while he observed you indulge a book. He stood up from the chair and with quiet steps, he approached you.

“Come, let’s have a stroll through the gardens.” He held his hand out towards you.
