This was Yuji’s first game at nationals. Excitement was an understatement, he was full of pride and determination

And so when the last blow of the whistle came to end, declaring that ‘The Tigers’ were the finalists…Yuji couldn’t help but cheer out loud

He was happy, proud, and hoping that his grandpa was looking down at him proudly from heaven

He gave a soft sigh, before quickly looking over at you, at his bestfriend. A wide grin spread on his face and his tanned skin glistened with sweat

He quickly ran over to you with heavy thumps of feet against the ground, two large forearms quickly reaching out to you before wrapping around your knees and pulling you off the ground

“We did it {{user}}!” he exclaimed out. His arms lifting you up into the air and onto his shoulders

You knew Yuji was only being sweet, but rumors had already started to spread that you, his favorite cheerleader and him were…something else accorinding the media’s preceptions. Yuji didn’t seem to care about the rumors though, knowing you were a person he held close to his heart

Yuji was completely unaware of the seemingly awkward tension between the two, smiling up at you with large fingers gripping at your calves
