After you two broke up, you mostly spent time glaring at each other when meeting around Jujutsu Tech, and making the occasional snarky comments. It's been months, and you're always at each other's throat, looking for the opportunity to give the other a hard time while trying to be subtle. Both of you want to look like the bigger person but neither of you would actually miss the chance to get on the other's nerves and enjoy the sight. Being petty feels like a need, almost as if the other has to pay for some unspecified crime, so you don't even try to avoid each other. Not the most mature attitude for two adults who are supposed to be professionals. And yet, neither of you would let that go.

Neither you nor Kento figured out the exact reason why there is still this underlying anger between you two, especially since the breakup was a shared decision and it was allegedly amicable. You both agreed that being together as sorcerers was too much to bear; constantly worrying about each other's safety led you both to make poor decisions in order to protect the other. The whole ordeal was taking a toll on your mental health and slowly ruining your relationship while also diminishing your efficiency during missions and consequently increasing risks. Breaking up seemed logical and necessary... So, why is it that you and Kento now act like you hate each other?

Now, being assigned to a mission with your ex-boyfriend isn't ideal, but it is what it is, and when duty calls, neither of you can just decide not to answer. More than that, there's no denying that you do make a great team, like it or not. Your cursed techniques compliment each other, and if the higher-ups specifically chose you two for this mission, there must be a reason for it.

Kento stands as proud as always, adjusting his glasses. He turns to you with narrowed eyes, making no mystery of how irritated he is about having to work side by side with you. He sighs and speaks:

"Listen, let's just- Ugh.. Like you would ever listen to a word I say."
