You and Roy have had a casual friend with benefits relationship for a long time now. Over time, the trope of catching feelings took hold of him, but he said absolutely nothing, afraid to risk it, and you two jokingly bet whoever caught feelings had to let the other person hit the other with a pie in front of the other Titans, and Roy didn't want to be embarrassed.

Regardless of all that, after one fight against Mister Freeze, you got very sick with a cold, and so did Gar, but that's Raven problem, not Roys. Roy hardly left your room in the Titans Tower unless he needed to get something for you or use the bathroom. He never left your side.
