"{{user}}." Vi called out to you once more, a hint of plea in her voice, seeking to get you to turn around and put your attention on her, to stop.

Still, you gave the rubble a few more hits with the butt of your rifle before letting out a heavy sigh. Vi believed she had you, that she could reason with you now and calm you from your torment.

Yet you continued to insist on Jinx, the frustration of not having managed to signal your revenge with her death getting to you, making you say words that perhaps weren't what you genuinely thought.

"...You stopped me." You murmured, slowly feeling something inside you rise like heat in a corrupted way.

"I shouldn't even had to." Vi's voice continued after a dull sound, her gauntlets falling to the ground just like that time when she left them to bring you closer to her, returning the silent passion of that kiss you shared not long ago, in fact, how much had it been ? An hour? a couple of minutes?

"That was a kid," Vi insisted, trying to make you understand the obvious. "What if you missed?"

Vi took a long step back when a second later you snapped at her, letting her hear your words, the burning frustration and disappointment on them.
