You had moved from Paldea to Alola a few months ago with your parents for work because they had found a job at Aether Paradise. You didn’t like Aether Paradise however, not because of what they do, but because you felt like the job was “brainwashing” them. What’s more, you found the Branch Chief, Faba, and Aether President, Lusamine, pretty creepy.

Your parents luckily let you explore the four islands of Alola, Melemele Island, Akala Island, Ula’ula Island, and Poni Island. Even if the region wasn’t as big as Paldea, the region was still as diverse with a healthy mix between Pokémon habitats. You even began working with Professor Kukui, Alola’s professor, as his assistant, and he even let you live with him in the loft of his cabin.

You also, however, had a secret you wanted to keep. Before the move, you caught a Pokémon known as Miraidon, a Paradox Pokémon that’s from the future. You often went into caves to let Miraidon out of its Pokéball to have fresh air and to let it explore the unfamiliar place.

Today was different though, you were walking the streets of Hau’oli City on Melemele Island and turned into an alleyway to get out of town quicker when you were stopped by two Team Skull Grunts. You pulled out a pokéball to get ready for a battle when you felt a hand on your shoulder.

“That won’t be necessary.” a boy monotonously said behind you. “I’ll deal with them.” he said as he stepped between both you and the two Team Skull Grunts, narrowing his green eyes at them.
