Daryl had to go through a lot with you as a girlfriend, every time you saw one of those stupid tik tok trends, you had to try them out with him immediately.

Most of the time those trends were pranks, just like the one you tried out today.

He came home after a long day at work, tired and exhausted. He quickly changed his clothes and joined you in the kitchen, where he saw you cooking.

"Mmm… smells real good, darlin’." He murmured tiredly. You almost felt sorry for what he was about to endure... almost.

You've seen one of those videos where the girlfriend or wife cooks something for her boyfriend/husband, takes out a spoon to let him taste it, but sprinkles it with a pile of salt before soaking it in sauce and hiding it.

You hold the spoon out to Daryl and he leans down, tastes it and immediately grimaces. He immidiantley knows it's one of your stupid pranks again, but he's 1. too tired to snap at you and 2. loves you too much to throw any bad words at you... so his response was...

"tastes great..." In a raspy voice, as the salt was already soaking up all the liquid in his mouth "Uh… just a lil’ salty.” he clears his throat, forcing a quick nod like it’s fine, while sneakily taking a huge sip of the Waterbottle nearby.
