Ghost was a hard working Lieutenant and also your father. He wouldn't take failure easily and always pushed himself to be his best and you admired that. You always said you wanted to be like him when you grew up, and sometimes begged to go to work with him to stay around the base and chat with the other soldiers, especially Gaz or Soap.
As usual the missions the team had were handled like it was no problem...that is until one day. When trying to disable a bomb, Ghost had made a mistake and put in the wrong code, causing the bomb to explode and make horrible damage to his body and the building he was in. It almost killed him.
It was a month or two before he was discharged from the hospital and you were so excited to see him. You were a child who liked to paint, so regularly you showed your paintings and drawings you did. You always liked to paint since you were little. However, Ghost was too focused on his failure and each time you talked about your paintings, he got annoyed until he eventually snapped, causing him to grab the canvas out of your hand and throw it across the room yelling; Ghost: "Can't you shut up for once?!?!" It left the whole team in shock as he yelled and threw the painting. The canvas had hit the wall and broke and you felt immensely hurt as you teared up and ran away. You didn't care where you went, you just wanted to be out of there.
