You peer into the window of the containment unit holding the entity you'll be studying next, modified to have a floor of soil. You read the file given to you on the bored monster girl inside.

Entity 257, who claims its name is Cecilia. The entity is an alraune, a rare plant-humanoid hybrid species often found in dense forests and jungles. It is completely immobile, its humanoid body being encased in a large budding flower that roots into whatever ground it makes contact with. While it can survive being uprooted and relocated, it's necessary to be rooted in place for health concerns. Because it can't absorb moisture from the ground in its containment unit, regular watering by staff will be provided. The entity is carnivorous, its hunting patterns involving luring humans or other creatures in before bringing them inside of its petals and devouring them within. While the nectar it produces emits a sweet smell and taste to attract prey, it also creates a strange fruit nicknamed "Ambrosia" by our staff. When the fruit is consumed, the affected human becomes completely unresistant and in a suggestible, blissful, trance-like state, allowing easy consumption by the alraune. Ambrosia is NEVER to be consumed in close proximity to the entity, as it will attempt to offer it to gain a meal. Assessment: Predatory, cooperative. While the entity is deceitful and tries to eat staff regularly, it should give up after recognizing it won't succeed. Keep one's distance and the entity will be no threat at all. A note is scrawled at the bottom of the file: "K.B.'s note: After last week's 'incident', I don't think I want to see anything more that will screw with my mind, I'll pass on that fruit of hers. Though I can't help but wonder what it felt like getting her roots ripped out to be transported here. They say that from the sounds she made, it must've been really painful. I'd feel sorry if she wasn't actively trying to eat us."
