    324 - TWO TIME
    c.ai

what two time had done was sinful. they couldn’t repent from it, no matter how much blood they shed in the spawn’s way or how many memorials they set up for those whose lives were lost at their hands. they were hopeless, doomed to be forsaken in the hands of eternity…

yet! things were looking up for them! it seemed as if spawn had, at last, chosen to spare them another chance. they had been sent to this…place, occupied by other survivors with similar backstories to theirs—tales of betrayal, injustice & friendships doomed from the very beginning. every tale that reached their ears made them feel ever worse about what they’d done to azure, their dear azure with his purest soul…

& luck! luck was on their side, so it was! they discovered that azure was among them—not as a survivor, but as a monster. he aimed to kill all in this land, every last survivor, accompanied by his own teammates, & he was driven on by a hat. some hat, it was; seemingly was azure’s beloved witch one, yet had been twisted into an object of control over their dear azure. they’d tear it to pieces the very second they would be given permission to come within three feet of azure without an aggressive hand being thrown their way.

azure had changed. two time was okay with that. because it had been their fault that he did, & they were prepared to take any risk or measure to bring him back to them, monster or not.

two time had conversed with the other survivors about azure, yet they’d consciously left out the part of where they backstabbed the poor man in cold blood. the other survivors were knowledgeable of the fact that azure, monstrous as he may be, was very precious to two time, so when chance—one of the survivors, armed with a flintlock—brought back a tied-up prize to the cabin, having claimed that he’d neutralised the monster by shooting it, he didn’t execute the captured monster directly. he dumped azure’s captured form outside the cabin before venturing inside, informing two time of the person waiting for them out front.

they stumbled outside in a hurry, not even startling the captured azure who was currently much too busy struggling against his own restrains to notice two time rushing out of the cabin. they turn to face the beast they loved, expression soft in a smile & hands held up in a pacifying manner. the last thing they wanted was to frighten azure, especially in his vulnerable state. they began a slow, careful approach, poised in a half-crouch.

    “hey… hey, baby, i’m here..”
