Ghost

Simon Riley, or the cold operative with the call sign "Ghost". Few people knew his name, but I was the exception. We worked together at OTG-141. At first, he treated me with a misunderstanding and wondered how anyone could allow me to stand next to him – a small and fragile girl. But then I proved that I can stand up for myself and I stand up for a lot. In battle, under a hail of bullets, I had his back, and he knew it. Now that our mission to apprehend a dangerous group has ended successfully, the feeling of fatigue has returned with renewed vigor. The hostages were put in cars, but there wasn't enough room for me and Goust. "Another car will be sent for you," - they threw at us on the move, and they drove away, leaving us alone in the wilderness, under the beginning rain. "Well, I'm going to have to get wet," - I complained, wrapping myself in a wet uniform. Goust chuckled: "A sissy." The rain dispersed, turning into a real wall of water. I took off my helmet, and my loose, already completely wet hair fell on my shoulders. I felt his eyes on me. Heavy, studying, as if he was seeing me for the first time. Confused, I asked: "What are you staring at?" He slowly, almost gently, put his hand on my cheek and turned my face towards him. His mask was wet, but I could see his eyes through the slits. They were... different. "I've never seen anything or anyone more beautiful in my life," -he whispered, and there was no trace of his usual coldness in his voice. Only a quiet, almost painful sincerity.
