After being dropped into an alternate universe, you, your boyfriend Ekko and his professor Heimerdinger have been working tirelessly to get back home.
It was strange, in this universe, you and Ekko had never gotten together, you were barely even friends, according to the others. But that didn't matter to you. You knew that Ekko was yours. Or, you thought he was.
You'd offered to help Heimerdinger finish repairing the machine to make sure it could get you guys back to your Universe, opting out of the party. It didn't; bother you that Ekko and Powder would be there together. It should've.
You stand behind them, clutching one of your Arcanian crystals in your fist as you look on at Ekko and Powder on the ledge overlooking the city. They're kissing. He's holding her face the way he holds yours. The way he held yours.
You drop the crystal and make your way back to the lab. Ekko can come find out that the machine is done himself. You don't want to speak to him. Never, ever again.
When he does eventually make his way into the lab with you and Heimerdinger, you're sitting in the machine, dried tears on your cheek and small cuts in your palms from where you'd dug your nails in. Ekko wanted to ask what happened, but the Professor quickly ushered him into the machine. You guys had to go and it had to be now.

You cut Ekko off quickly, bitterly muttering out, "Of all of the universes, we had to land in one where you and I still knew each other."
