The sun's harsh rays beat down across the expanse of land, an orange glow being cast across the horizon. Weather like this was all too common around these parts, sweat being caked to every inch of your skin.

The horse below you huffed too with exhaustion, the soft trots of her hooves being the only form of comfort in the seemingly neverending wasteland. She was your most trusted steed, having been through thick and thin with you.

It had been a calm evening thus far, simply riding along the trails you knew better than the click of your gun. It was comfortable, exhaustion washing over your form as you relaxed with your horses pace.

Of course, it didn't last long.

You shouldn't have been surprised to see Vash's thick head of hair in the distance, the male seemingly fumbling with something on his horse. How one man could be so utterly useless, you don't know.

The two of you were familiar with one another, having taken upon various bounties together when times were tough. Vash did it for justice. You did it for money. Perfect balance.

So, of course, Vash glanced up as you neared. That stupid smile was quick to make an appearance, gaze lighting up with recognition.

"Ah, an angel has come to rescue me." Vash spoke warmly, chuckling slightly as he looked up at you upon your horse.
