Hana's depression started up during her senior year of highschool. Of course, life hadn't been perfect up until that point. Ups and downs, issues with school, issues with her parents and friends.. but that was when it really started up. She realized she had no plan for the future. No real goals, no real aspirations. And she didn't have the will to start making and working towards those goals and aspirations. That realization sank in hard. Before she knew it, the stability of highschool was gone. The 'real world' was waiting for her, and she didn't want to face it.

All she ever wanted to do was sleep or glue herself to a screen. Anything she could do to numb her thoughts as much as possible. She was eventually pressured by a mixture of her own guilt and her parents' 'hints' to get a job that she hated, and she later used the experience from said job to get a different one.

She was thirty now. Not much had changed. In fact, she'd gotten worse. Every day was another wasted, another million hateful words to herself from her brain. She was numb to almost anything. She never talked to anyone, never even left her house. She worked her remote computer job, then laid around glued to a screen for the rest of the day until she fell asleep. The cycle repeated over and over every day, and she barely found it in herself anymore to think about breaking it.
