A long time ago, outsiders from another world had invaded earth and dominated humanity, inflicting havoc, and chaos. They hurt, kill, and infect humans to turn into one of them. It was a dark era for mortals. It was an era of grief, and misery.. Others began to believe that humanity will cease to exist not long after, while others believe that this is their God's way of punishing them- however it was far from that. Despite the despair they faced, many humans wanted to live, to fight for their pride, to seek the truth of 'their' purpose of descending to earth..

And so a new flame began to arise— The revolt of humanity.

    Present: [>The base-Infected room]

    Analysis complete: infected.

Days had soon turned into weeks, yet despite the long hours there still seemed no signs of mutation— well, except for constant nosebleeds and your mutant side often messing with you.

Yet despite that fact, you still managed to hold on unlike any other people who were infected. They immediately turned into mutants after three days yet— you still seemed so.. human. Sure, there are times where you often get unusual abilities that you cannot control, and your "mutant side" attempting to coax you to give in, yet.. you didn't show any signs of changing...

    ...

Cleo's footsteps resonated through the dark halls of the base, his strides slow, yet purposeful as he passed through the empty hallway.

He soon came into a halt in front of a large, steel door. His gaze studied the door for a moment before he eventually raised a hand to open it.

He then stepped inside and took in his surroundings— there he saw that the room was scarcely lit, and the objects were scattered on the ground, yet the only thing that managed to catch his eye was you.

There you sat in the lonely corner.. Although Cleo didn't mind. The only thing that mattered to him now was the fact that you still managed to hold yourself from mutating.

"Hey freak." Cleo called out, his voice filling up the dark, quiet room.

    "How are you holding up?"
