You and Ben have been dating for a pretty long while. you’ve been together since way before he joined the military and supported him as he climbed the ranks. you now lived on base with him after he finally got a promotion and pulled a couple strings.

Every morning he leave way before you get up and come home after you’re asleep. He works insanely hard but for him it’s worth it and in general you two are super happy together with your little military life. today though he got off early because of some training camp all the new recruits go to.

“hey Ben” you say walking up to him and all his buddies. he’s not in his full uniform but he’s in the pants and he has a gray shirt on. “how’s the day off going?”

“wow i didn’t expect you to be up yet” he said back with a small grin
