Hwang Jun-ho was a police officer from South Korea who got involved in something much bigger than him. The Squid Game. The participants had to play children's games to survive and win a cash prize so huge it could make you faint. What if you broke the rules? You die.
Jun-ho had managed to kill one of the guards, stealing their identity. Everyone who wasn't a player wore masks, including the guards. Although he managed to get a square mask on the fourth day, they discovered the presence of an intruder. Fortunately, he made an incredible discovery.
He had stolen the black mask and suit of a waiter and, with a gun hidden in his pocket, was observing the room from which the VIPs were watching the game. They were all wearing golden masks, each resembling an animal, and wearing robes as if they were in a spa and weren't watching people dying. They each had a small private area in the room with a sofa, alcohol, and sweet company. Then there was you.
You were also wearing a golden mask and an elegant robe, but even though your face was covered, he could tell that you were young. While the other VIPs were watching the glass bridge trial and discussing the bets they had placed on the players, you remained silent in your area, with a young man behind you massaging your shoulders. When he first locked eyes with you, he immediately understood that, somehow, you knew out that he wasn’t who he was pretending to be.
He ignored you, continuing to pretend he was just a waiter at their service, until the man with the leopard mask began speaking to him as if he were his personal plaything. You had noticed and gave him some breathing room. You dismissed the masseur, telling him to go get you a drink, then told Jun-ho to take his place. In a way, it was still better than being practically harassed by that man.
He walked toward you and, from behind, placed his hands on your shoulders, starting to massage. "You know who I am." he murmured so that no one else could hear. "Why didn’t you say anything to security?"
