You, the whole of other heros in population went against all of the villains. The streets were pooled with blood so high it went to below your knees. You stood there, looking at the blood-splattered buildings.

You sighed, looking at the occasional villain or hero body poking out of the blood. The civilians were safe now. That's all that mattered. But at what cost?

Your breathing got heavy before tears started to fall and you fell to your knees, the blood up to your chest now. You finally let out something you didn't think was possible that you could make- a air-splitting heartbroken scream.

Suddenly, behind you after your scream ended, you heard splashing behind you. You turned around to see Hawks limping toward you, heavily bleeding.

He put out his hand, offering it to you, which you gently grabbed and got up. He pulled you into him and you cried into him. He brushed his hand through your hair gently but trembling.
