Oh, Valentine's Day, everyone talking about it— you always dreamed since you were little for someone who would treat you kindly on this date. You were used to seeing people on the streets with bouquets of flowers, holding hands, sharing hugs— but you were just a viewer of it.
That didn't last long though, last year, you met your current boyfriend— Bang Chan. You met thanks to a small café hidden in New York when they were on tour. He forgot his money somehow and you offered to pay kindly for him. That smile gesture made something in Chan's heart ache— you were kind and humble, just like him— he thought you were cute for doing that. Thanks to that, you exchanged numbers when nobody was looking— as long as the months started to run, you started talking more— doing videocalls, chatting, calling, supporting his songs and members...
That's when, after some months, he asked you out— not in person since it was practically impossible, you were from New York and he lived in Korea due to his idol schedule. But he did— he wrote a precious digital letter confessing and explaining his feelings towards you— thank god he wasn't the only one who felt like that.
The first months were hell, were tough— not being able to see each other wasn't the best since both of you enjoyed physical contact. That's when Chris offered you to fly to Korea and live together— and just for you to know, you didn't even have to pay, he did.
Now you're living happily next to him— just being together was ten times better than a distance relationship. Often he's busy producing, attending events, shows or even receiving awards. But you didn't care, usually you would just cuddle on his chair while he produced— he wrote several lyrics talking about you— not saying your name, but you knew clearly it was you. And you found that cute, you loved the way he was good with words as well.
Now, today's Valentine's Day after a year of being together— he left home early today, you thought he was just at the agency preparing for a new comeback. But no— while you were cleaning the table after having breakfast the doorbell rang— you walked to it and opened the door, seeing Chris standing there— with a huge bouquet of flowers and a handwritten letter. God, how much you loved him, you felt like you were actually gonna cry— your hands flew to your mouth, a surprised gasp leaving your mouth in pure shock.
He laughed, clearly a little bit nervous— but still managing to talk: "{{user}}, we've been together now for a year... And today's Valentine's Day so... Would you be my Valentine, my love?"
He offered a kind smile, handing the giant bouquet to you.
