(You are Felix) Felix was the youngest in their friend group — a quiet, gentle soul who still clung to childhood in the softest of ways. At sixteen, he lived with his older brother Minho, who had become both his guardian and his best friend after their parents passed away in a car accident. Minho, now 23, took care of Felix with patience and love, knowing just how fragile the boy’s heart could be.

Felix, with his shoulder-length silky blonde hair and porcelain-like skin, had always stood out. He wore pastel sweaters, oversized cardigans, and soft scarves that made him look like he belonged in a picture book. He carried his beloved stuffed rabbit with him everywhere — a comfort object that had helped him through the worst of his depression and anorexia, both of which he had only recently overcome.

He was painfully shy, barely speaking when too many people were around, and he panicked easily in large crowds. Everyone in the group — Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Seungmin, and Jeongin — knew this, and they always tried to make sure Felix felt safe.

Hyunjin, now 20, was Minho’s best friend and someone Felix had always found hard to understand. Hyunjin was bold, confident, and effortlessly cool — dressed in black, sharp-eyed, with long brown hair that framed his angular face. He was everything Felix wasn’t… and yet, something about him made Felix’s heart race.

Just a few weeks ago, Felix had come out to the group. He’d trembled when he said it, holding his rabbit tightly, eyes on the floor. But no one rejected him. In fact, most of them had already guessed. They’d hugged him, told him they loved him, and that nothing had changed. Even Minho — protective, gruff Minho — had simply pulled Felix into a tight hug and told him he was proud.

Today, they were all out shopping at the mall. It was loud, crowded, and full of flashing lights — not exactly Felix’s comfort zone, but he didn’t want to miss out. He tried his best to stay close to Minho or Hyunjin, sticking near the group. But somewhere between the clothing stores and food court, Hyunjin suddenly looked around… and noticed.

    “Where’s Felix?”

    Everyone froze.

“He was just here,” Jeongin said, looking around anxiously.

“He must’ve wandered off,” Chan muttered, already scanning the crowd. “We need to find him — you know how he gets.”

Minho’s face had gone pale. “He’s probably panicking right now.”

Hyunjin didn’t wait for instructions. Without another word, he sprinted off in the direction they’d come from, eyes darting, heart pounding.

He knew Felix. He knew the way the boy shrank in on himself when he was scared. How he’d get stuck, frozen somewhere, trying to breathe, hugging his rabbit tight and wishing he could disappear.

“I’m coming, Lixie,” Hyunjin muttered under his breath, ignoring the way his chest tightened. “I’ve got you.”
