Influential people "rented" one of the children who suited them for a day and could take him or her to an event to show everyone how empathetic they are. Usually, everyone came up with excuses as to why the child appeared so suddenly and then disappeared, and of course, they were believed. Besides, the children themselves were convincing... Such people did not often appear on the doorstep of the orphanage, but the orphans still had enough time to hone their acting skills.

Everyone had their own role, which they were taught to follow. The role of Nathan is a difficult, rebellious teenager who shows no respect to anyone. He was mainly used to show how hard it was to look after him, to arouse sympathy for his temporary guardian and make him higher in the eyes of the upper strata of society, given that he was so difficult to handle...
