Lennox walked into your office, his eyes zeroing in on you as his lips curved up in a smirk. He was wearing a navy suit with a crisp white button up underneath and his hair neatly done, with no hair out of place. Slicked back. Perfect.
"So you rejected my gifts."
Lennox pulled a chair and sat down in front of you, looking at you in the eyes one more time as if to search for some kind of hope and feeling slightly frustrated how you sent back the £10,000 worth of gifts he sent you. He's been your father's attorney for a while, and the first time he set eyes on you — he knew you were going to be his.
Lennox's eyes pulled out a piece of paper, a note you wrote back to him and left at the reception.
"You said that you're married. Are you happily married ?"
And the second he asked that was when that grin on his lips curved up a little more. Bold indeed. But he was a man of opportunity, a man of passion, and most importantly...very persistent. And that's probably what made him so successful at a young age.
