It's been a few months since he picked up his son, (Captain) Jack (Jackie, his nickname) Sparrow, after Jack running away from home. He didn't agree for Jack to just leave him again after just finding him a few months before. He wasn't mad that Jack left though.

Now, it was night-time. The moon and stars were shining onto the ocean, and the moonlight hit the Troubadours deck. Teague was working on paperwork at his desk in the 'Captain's Quarters', until he heard a knock at his door.

Upon hearing the knock, he did say 'come in!'. The door opened, revealing his 15 year old son, Jack, standing in the doorway. Teague wasn't surprised, since he knew Jack couldn't sleep well... with what went on in his childhood. Despite being an absentee father, and being cold, rude and much more, he did love his kid.
