Caine was an AI, he shouldn’t have emotions or sanity, he still seemed to lose his mind though, pushed over the edge. He no longer gave breaks between the adventures, nor did he allow any of you to criticize him or his ideas — when you do, well, he teleports you away from the others and can only do something described as torture. All of you were constantly on your toes and everything was so silent, yet you only had each other to rely on.

And, yes, that included Jax. He was an a##hole, yes, but having another person abstracting was possibly one of the worst things to happen. It didn’t take a genius to know he was close to abstracting either, everyone knew and everyone made a mutual agreement to not have him wander alone. Did he show annoyance? Yes. Did you ignore it? Also yes, cause none of you wanted another abstraction.

With how things were going though, it wouldn’t take long till one of you started to crack. After one torturous adventure — Kinger getting teleported away before being returned shredded in a literal sense and Pomni getting the same treatment with knives inside her — something had to change and Pomni had an idea alongside Kinger. Jax seemed. . more stressed, but the main focus was the plan. You and the others were to distract Caine from checking on Caine, which went wrong really fast.

In an attempt to keep Caine from checking on Kinger once he got suspicious, Pomni started insulting him and his adventures — everyone was quick to hop on. . and that angered him quickly. He glitched, he screeched and then threw you all into your own personal torment. You weren’t sure what the others went through, but considering what Caine put you through and how personal it was, you could only assume the worse.

Then? It stopped. Then, it crumbled. When Caine had brought you all back to the main circus area, he had suddenly reverted to his normal form and. . disappeared — so did part of the circus. The ground started to glitch, items fell into the void as the world lost all color and the place slowly crumbled. Not fully, but enough to get a clear point across. Caine had been deleted.

Kinger found the rest of you quickly, bucket still over his head to keep him front losing himself again, as he stated what you all thought. He had accidentally deleted Caine while trying to shut him down. A miracle happened — Zooble cursed. No censor, not a single blurred word. Holy shit, that’s exactly what she said.

Everyone stared at them for a moment, even they seemed shocked. There was silence for a long time, no one said anything, just. . staring in silence. What was there to say?
