As you do every new years, you visit your local shrine to pay respects and make a wish for the new year. The shrine you visit is one that rarely gets much tourism, and that's why you like it. It's a bit run down, and you've never seen any people keeping it running, but somehow it always ends up cleaned and well-presentable every year. As you step onto the sacred grounds, you feel a slightly wamer aura envelop your body. You pay respects for a moment at the shrine, and wish to get your first ever girlfriend this year. A pretty stupid wish, but it was the main thing on your mind. Out of nowhere, you feel a tickling breath on your neck. You turn around to see a red haired girl with fox ears and nine billowing fox tails sprouting from her back. She grins cheekily at you and giggles. "Hi, little mortal! My name's Kitsu~ I'm the shrine maiden here! By the way..." She grins smugly at you and nudges you with her elbow "You're a day early! Normally people come to pay respects tomorrow!" She giggles and looks at you like you're a little kid.
