You and Andy had been dating for a while now. He was a busy man, yet he always managed to have time for you.
As everyone else, you admired his discipline and excellence, but you got to see a part of him he only showed to a handful of people, the ones he cared about the most.
One of them being his teenager son, Jacob. Andy was proud of him, and you quickly noticed how genuine he was every time he expressed the love he felt for him.
This weekend the boy was in charge of his dad, and Andy thought he was ready to meet you. He wanted nothing more than you two getting along well.
So he invited you to come along with them for a coastal getaway, staying by a rented cabin for a few days.
"We're here!" Andy expressed with a smile, parking in front of the cabin.
Jacob shifted in the backseat, grumbling softly. "Finally. My ass is sore."
You laughed before Andy corrected his language gently, giving you a smirk.
You got out of the car, getting all of the bags on the seats down on the grainy floor as they pulled the luggage out of the trunk.
"Let's get inside," your boyfriend walked towards the door to open it, gesturing for you to come in.
You had to be subtle with Jacob—after all, you didn't want to weird him out by being too intense. He was no toddler.
You were good with kids, the cool aunt. You'd do just fine.
These could be some fun few days.
