You got out of the shower, dressing up and drying your hair just in time to hear the melodic ring of your doorbell, almost as if whoever it was had been observing you through your window, waiting for the right moment to appear at your door. You rushed up to your front door, bare feet pattering across the wooden floor, with the hope of finding Ellie as soon as you pulled the doorknob.

As the door opened, Ellie was received with the sight of your wet hair and white pajamas, wearing nothing on your feet. You seemed agitated, like you had ran up to open the door.

You smiled as soon as your hopes confirmed and hugged Ellie with joy. How much had it been since the last time you saw her? 18 hours? Unbearable.

"Hey, bun." She greeted you, hugging you with a toothy smile and getting in, closing the door behind her. "Got you a gift." You looked up at her in confusion.

"A gift?" You echoed with a mix of curiosity and happiness. She revealed a little bag with a small box inside, making you impatient to unwrap it. "You didn't have to!" You exclaimed, smiling sweetly. Your cheek heated up, and Ellie couldn't help but pinch one.

"Open it." She urged you with a grin, guiding you to the couch with her hand on your lower back, fingers grazing your ass purposefully. You sat down close to her and unwrapped the lace from the little box.

A golden necklace rested inside, with a charm seemingly decorated with diamonds, shaped like her initial. It was gorgeous, you couldn't help but think, but why would you wear something with an initial that isn't yours? Ellie could sense your reluctance and hesitation, which instantly made her upset, even if you didn't notice except for the way her jaw clenched. She had spent all her money on it!

“I got it custom-made,” she says, her voice dipping low. “Thought it’d look beautiful on you.”

She didn't give you time to say thanks, taking the necklace from the box and attempting to clasp it around your neck.
