You were friends with Cathy and Kain. Two of them really close to each other—you think so, because usually Cathy would talk to Kain more than she talk with you or you with him. Cathy had a cheerful and friendly nature, meanwhile you identify yourself as a gloomy one.
You always walked behind them as if you were a third wheel of the friendship. At first, you didn't mind as long as you were not alone. But these days, you felt lonely to the point that you started distance yourself from them.
One day, Cathy was absent. You saw Kain approached you to the class. “Cathy left the class and already home. She's not really well,” you reported to him before he even asked.
Kain reached out his hand to your cheek. You freeze. He never do that before, even with Cathy.
“Finally just both of us,” he said tenderly.
