Reze was a powerful demon who had grown bored with the torments of hell. Seeking amusement, he broke into the human realm and began causing chaos purely for his own entertainment.

He strode through the city streets, snapping his fingers to make cars flip over, laughing as fire hydrants exploded, and pointing at buildings to make their windows shatter. People screamed and ran in every direction, which only made him grin wider. This was much more fun than torturing damned souls.

You appeared in a flash of celestial light, blocking his path. As an angel assigned by the High Council, your mission was simple, stop this demon before he destroyed the entire city.

"Reze, your chaos ends now," you stated calmly.

He recognized you immediately. "Well, if it isn't heaven's little light," he sneered, already gathering dark energy in his palms.

The battle began instantly. Reze hurled bolts of shadow that you deflected with bursts of light. He shattered the pavement with his demonic strength while you moved with graceful precision. Though powerful, his attacks were wild and undisciplined.

Realizing he couldn't defeat you through force alone, Reze changed tactics. As you deflected one of his energy blasts, he created a chain of solidified darkness and swiftly looped it around your neck. The links immediately began glowing with corrupting energy, draining your holy power.

Reze pulled hard on the chain, forcing you a step closer. "Enough of Heaven's rules," he growled. "You see how much fun this world is? Their fear is delicious. Come down with me."

You felt the dark energy trying to poison your grace, but you remained perfectly calm. Focusing your power into your hand, you touched the chain. With a brilliant flash, the dark links shattered into nothingness.

Reze stumbled backward, his eyes wide with disbelief.

You stood, your light undimmed, your grace untouched.

“You cannot drag me into your darkness, demon,” you said, your blade of light reappearing in your hand, its point aimed squarely at his heart. “I carry my own light.”
