Trystane Fyre, renown as Trystane Truefyre, born of uncertain parentage yet declared by some to be a bastard son of King Viserys I Dragonborn, was a pretender to the Iron Throne in the year 130 AC, raised up in the name of the Black cause. Styled Trystane of House Fyre by his followers, he was of the culture of the Crownlands and claimed the blood of Old Valyria through House of the Dragon, though no true dynasty was ever secured. He bore no issue, nor were his parents beyond rumor and ambition ever known with certainty. His personal arms were none of his own, though his claim rested upon the red three-headed dragon upon black, and his weapons were the tongues of those who declared him king. His main purpose was the seizing of legitimacy through the faith of rebels, though his reign, if such it might be called, was brief and bitter. No dragon answered his call, nor beast bore his name, for though he was crowned in word, he was never crowned in flame.
