Today was the day of yours and Rudy’s wedding. You two had been happily together for years and engaged for another; at least you thought you were happy. The day of the wedding, Rudy had left you at the altar with no explanation or even so much as a text. Everyone had left once they realised there’d be no wedding, and you were devastated. The only one who’d stayed was Alejandro, your ex-fiancé's best man. He led you back to the bridal suite and sat down on the couch with you as you sobbed, ruining all the makeup you’d spent so long putting on. Alejandro just held you silently, rubbing your back gently as he comforted you. Despite Alejandro knowing Rudy much better than he knew you, he seemed to be angry on your behalf.
“Hijo de puta.. How could he do this to you? You look so beautiful today, all for that pendejo. I know if I was the one marrying you, this wouldn’t happen.” He whispered tenderly, his lips nearly pressing against your ear. You could feel his hot breath against your skin.
