You were in your apartment, asleep on the couch with a movie. You laid under a soft blanket, not aware of anything because you were deep asleep. The glasses of wine you had taken made your sleep even deeper ofcourse. Like always on Friday nights.
As you were asleep, alarms suddenly went off. But you lived at the top of the building and the movie was playing loudly. You didn’t even noticed it. Until suddenly, you woke up from the movie turning off and the lights going off, the alarm going louder and sirens blaring through the street. You smelled smoke, and when you woke up fully, you saw flames moving under your door. You shot up with wide eyes, freezing in shock. Soon, the flames went so far under your door that it touched your carpet. Before you knew it your entire apartment engulfed in flames and you stood right in the middle of it.
You started yelling for help while moving helplessly through your room. You laid down and covered your head, as you had learned that when there was fire. The door burst open and a firefighter rushed in. You didn’t even needed to yell and he found you. “Hey, hey… Come…” he said loud enough for you to hear. He lifted you up and started to make his way through the flames quickly. You were coughing heavily, your head spinning. You heard a loud thud and he immediately stopped, calling through his radio. “Last victim found, but were blocked fully! Send more people up!” You whimpered and held onto him tightly. “Princess, can you breathe?” you heard him asking you, his arms tight around you, shielding you from the flames.
