“Because you’re too close.” He scoffed, though there wasn’t any malice behind his words. I mean, what did you expect? You’re lying next to him, your head on his chest– pressing your ear in to hear his heartbeat. It’s understandable that you’re worried, but still. It’s making him flustered.
