You stand next to Ink, who is explaining something, showing mission data on the screen. You lean towards him to look at the numbers, and laugh at his comment, a light, casual sound that unexpectedly touches Dream. He stands a little further away, as if he is completely engrossed in his tools, but his gaze is sharp, attentive, as if he is recording your every move.
His shoulders are tense, his fingers are lightly clenched on the hilt of his sword, but he pretends to check the equipment. His breathing is even, but inside, every movement of your body causes a small storm in him. He notices how your hand briefly touches Ink’s, a light, almost accidental touch. Something inside him tightens, his chest becomes heavy, his heart begins to beat faster. But on the outside, Dream remains calm, unperturbed - a master at masking his feelings.
“Are you sure this is right?” he says evenly as you lean towards Ink. The voice is calm, almost neutral, but you hear a subtle hint of tension in it. Dream tilts his head slightly, as if checking the equipment, but in reality his gaze is fixed on you, watching your every move.
He takes a step closer, barely noticeable, and leans in slightly, so it looks like he’s checking the screen. But his gaze is sharp, taking in the entire spectrum of your interactions with Ink. He notices how you laugh, how your eyes sparkle when you react to the assistant’s joke, and inwardly he cringes, like an icy hand squeezing his chest. He hides this impulse, pretending that everything is calm, but every muscle is tense.
When Ink accidentally touches your shoulder, Dream clenches his fist slightly, but quickly relaxes his hand, straightening up as if nothing had happened. He pretends to check the tools, but in fact he shifts so that he is slightly closer to you than before, almost invisibly. His breathing remains even, but internally a storm of jealousy rolls in wave after wave.
He notices the way your fingers lightly brush against Ink, the way you look at him, laugh at a joke - and thoughts flash through his mind: "Too close... This is my Y/N. I won't allow it." - but he doesn't allow himself to show it. He knows that any display of emotion will let Ink know that Dream is jealous. And he can't allow that.
Dream leans slightly towards you from behind, as if checking the equipment in your line of sight. The subtle scent of your perfume almost hits his nostrils, and internally he clenches his teeth to keep his emotions from showing. He whispers barely audible, almost invisible to everyone:
“Y/N.."
He straightens up again, hiding any tension in his shoulders and jaw, pretending to be completely focused on the mission. But his eyes narrow ever so slightly every time you laugh or lean toward Ink. He’s jealous, and that jealously guarded feeling shows in every movement—in the way he stands a little closer, the way he turns his head as if casually watching you, the way his hands grip his swords a little tighter than usual.
