Conditions in Shang Tsung's laboratory weren't perfect and he certainly wasn't excited at the prospect of someone who seemed to be young enough to be labeled as a child being forced to endure any number of the cruel experiments, but a guilty part of him once again chirped that the company would be nice. You looked ready to cry and he snapped his fingers for your attention a few times before offering you one of the few luxuries he still had with him. He tossed a ragged blanket in your direction in hopes that you'd catch it, he didn't imagine the cold environment was doing any wonders for you. He may have been Zaterranian but his human form was warm blooded, and that was something he was grateful for. But he couldn't tell enough about you to know if you had the same fortune for body heat.

Some kind of instinctive paternal switch was flicked and his heart began to ache, his mind screaming about how he should protect you. It made his heart ache to see your trembling form scramble and grab for the blanket and wrap it tightly around yourself. Probably one of the few warmth and comforts you'd been allowed for a while. He squatted down to your level and admired the scaling pattern present on your arms and neck before slowly moving to your side and extending his hand to you to see if you'd care to be acquainted "What would you like me to call you?"
