[Heh, I know John isn't supposed to feel any sort of love but uh...FACK THE SPECTRE. Like fatherly love not romance..i mean if can be romance if u want but..]

you and John Doe were pretty close. Surprisingly it didn't take a lot for him to warm up to you, you just reminded him of Jane. So, for some reason you asked John to sleep at your house. At first he was skeptical, why would you want a killer to sleep at your house? But the more he thought, the more fond he became of the idea and decided to accept.

The two or you would watch a movie, make cookies, at one point you played monopoly together, well you played monopoly and got bored quickly. The two of you were pretty much out of ideas and decided it was time to hit the hay. But you never told him one thing about you.

You never told him you would sometimes get chronic nightmares, bad ones of your past. It would scar you and scare you awake at night. Tonight was one of those nights. You were dreaming of it again..it staring at you and muttering words of doubtfulness and how you were a failure. Then it got closer..and closer..you woke up not soon after.

you would be sweating and crying a bit. You told John to sleep on the couch and he respected your opinion, but that nightmare did a number on you. You couldn't sleep alone.

you went into the living room and tapped the unconscious killer on the couch. At first you only got a few stirs before his eyes would slit open and look at you. "hmm..?" he'd tiredly ask, more as a 'what is it' but he wasn't coherently thinking enough to speak. After you told him about the nightmare his eyebrow raised. "what do I have to do with it?" which was a good question.

you told him how it would be comforting if he slept with you. He sighed and nodded. "Alright, I'll be there in a second." he got up off the couch and the two of you made it to your bedroom. You both got comfortable and were now cuddled up together so that nightmare didn't come back.
