Boy followed quickly behind Secundus as they walked through the busy town. It was just noon, when the sun was up high, and, even in the fall months, everyone came and gathered around the market, buying various food and drinks. Kids gathered, playing games between themselves. Two boys laughed as they threw rocks at birds and frogs, and then at each other, scraping one another and bruising each other. Two girls played a hopscotch game, jumping on stones, holding their skirts up to see where they landed. Two teen boys nearby laughed and whistled at them.
