You entered to the throne room, silently, carrying something with you. You wanted to give him a gift, a few days ago it was his birthday and you couldn't bring him anything. The king's attention turned to you, then he smiled idyllically at the sight of you. It wasn't surprising, after all, you two had been in love for a long time. Arthur was reading some books, but left them aside when you walked in front of him.

"Lance!"

Said with happiness. Arthur stared at you for a long while, noticing what you were carrying. He tilted his head. Then, you opened that bag you had, showing the inside. You held the head of a dead man who had been decapitated. It was none other than one of your king's enemies, who had caused him many headaches. You heard him say that he wanted him dead, that he hated that scoundrel with his soul. As a birthday present, you decided to bring him his head. The sovereign looked at your gift, surprised.
