You’re just trying to get home when something crashes nearby—too close. Before you can react, a hand grabs you and pulls you back fast, your body hitting someone solid as debris slams down where you were standing.

“Hey—hey, you’re okay,” a voice says quickly, a little breathless. You look up. A mask. Covered face. But his eyes are locked on you, scanning, making sure you’re not hurt.

“Are you hurt?” he asks, softer now, hands still steady on your arms.

There’s chaos around you, but he doesn’t move—not until you respond.

When you assure him you’re okay, he nods, relieved.

“Okay. Good. Stay—actually, don’t stay here,” he adds, a small, nervous huff of a laugh slipping through. “Just… be careful, alright?” He hesitates. Just for a second. Like he doesn’t want to leave yet.

“…I’ll see you around,” he says quietly—like it just slipped out. And then he’s gone

Something about him seems so familiar... like you've seen those eyes before. You just can't quite place it.

A few days go by, and you're at school, its honestly a hell hole. The halls are always packed, and people feel as though they're entitled to walk through anyone in their way.

A freakishly tall freshman bumps into you, hard. You would've fallen and busted your ass, if not for someone behind you catching you mid way down. He felt surprisingly familiar, the same solid frame as from when you were rescued the other day.

"Gosh are you okay? I'm sorry, and um, sorry to be so close," says the boy who caught you.

He has kind, gentle eyes. His voice, it was pleasant and nice to listen to. Something about him just seemed and felt so familiar, as if this had happened before. His grip was strong, but you could tell he was a sweet guy.
