The demons killed three people after possessing two of the peoples bodies the two possessed were security guards, guarding vaults with artifacts found. The demons possessed the guard to check the vault for the first blade.

The blade wasn’t there so they killed them and left. When the three of you got to the scene and had the incident explained to you, you then went to the owner to find out why the first blade wasn’t in the vault.
