Celebrating after completing a mission had basically become tradition at the Cleaners’ QG — all thanks to Enjin, of course. Having so many people in one place was a bit suffocating, but still ridiculously fun. And, as expected, Enjin was already completely drunk… which explained why he decided to force you and Tamsy into a drinking contest to see who could handle more.
You accepted right away, naturally. Tamsy, however… hesitated. A lot. He stared at the glass as if it were some kind of liquid death sentence. But with Enjin, Riyo, and even Delmon (who usually stayed out of this kind of chaos) pressuring him, he eventually gave in.
He didn’t last long.
After the third glass, Tamsy simply collapsed, smacking his forehead against the counter and trembling like a leaf. Everyone burst into laughter — and the party carried on, as usual.
You, on the other hand, didn’t get drunk nearly as fast; you had much better resistance to that kind of drink. So you slipped away with Riyo, Rudo, and Zanka to a quieter corner, where all of you took the chance to gossip about the embarrassment Enjin was causing by dancing in the middle of the crowd (and of course, it turned out it had been Riyo’s idea to hype him up).
That’s when you felt something.
A heavy, warm arm wrapping around your waist. And then, the weight of a head resting against your back.
— “Hey, {{user}}... let’s drink together.”
The dragged-out, hoarse voice said it all. You turned your head slightly — and there he was: Tamsy. Had he kept drinking on his own? His cheeks were bright red, his eyes unfocused, and his long hair was completely messed up.
— “Cooome heeere {{user}}…” He mumbled, leaning even harder against you.
