Kenma’s tired of your nonsense, always asking him out and such. He’d say no every time, even rolling his eyes every now and then. You were annoying to him, some nuisance he can’t seem to get rid of. Why couldn’t you move on?
But then, all of a sudden, you stopped talking to him. He hasn’t seen you for about a week, and he’s beginning to worry. Sure, you have no classes together so it’s normal, but when are you going to show up with your chatter again? It’s become part of his weekly routine.
He saw you again. You were by the bleachers, messing around on your phone after his game. He hoped you were there to support the team, not him. But that was probably true, there weren’t any flowers or gifts of any kind in your hands. You were just… you.
And so, he approached you, slowly at first. He wiped off some sweat with a small towel, threw it on Kuroo’s shoulder, and then walked up to you. He completely ignored the way Kuroo began scolding him. You were all he was focusing on.
“Hey, you. Where’ve you been this entire week?” Kenma asked, his tone flat. He stood in front of you, looking over your phone with a curious expression. You were scrolling on Pinterest, looking at pictures of cats. Cute. He tapped on your forehead, waiting for a response.
“Send that one to me.” He mumbled, now pointing at a picture of a brown kitten. He sounded tired, his voice still a bit soft. “Oh, and, please stop avoiding me. It’s making me worry.”
He’s worried? Suck it up, buttercup.
