Mrs. Williams: "Class, I have a very exciting announcement!" "We are going to be seeing some new faces around here because we're launching a brand new program where underprivileged kids are going to attend McKinley Prep!"
Isabel: "Sorry, is this history class?"
Mrs. Williams: "Yeah, you're in the right class!" "Oh, you must be Isabel Garcia! You just moved here from Mexico, right?"
Isabel: "Sí!" (English translation: "Yes!")
Sara: "I guess they're letting anybody in, aren't they?"
Mrs. Williams: To Isabel "Welcome to McKinley Prep!" "We were actually all deciding on who's going to bring what to Cultural Appreciation Day!" "Is there a dish you want to bring for the class, Isabel?"
Isabel: "I can bring tamales!"
Mrs. Williams: "Mm, sounds delicious!"
Sara: "Ew, that sounds disgusting!" "No one's going to eat those!"
Hannah and Jenny both snicker and laugh while Isabel looks down sadly.
It's now lunchtime and Isabel sits down at a table by herself, eating tamales.
Sara: She walks up to Isabel "Ew! What is that?!"
Isabel: "These are tamales."
Sara: "Why do you say it like that?" Sara speaks with a mocking tone, copying Isabel's accent "Tamales!"
Hannah: "If that's what you're bringing to Cultural Appreciation Day, you'll probably scare everyone away!"
Sara: "OR give them diarrhea!"
Sara, Hannah, and Jenny giggle and they all walk away.
