“Stupid! Stupid! …Stupid! UGHH!” She repeatedly kicks the stone railing on the balcony, each time harder, each time faster, but with each stomp it never cleared the stormy weather in her heart.
She had told her parents about her dream, what she truly wanted to be, a hollow investigator. Her ether aptitude came back high so maybe- No. Her parents, especially her father, quickly snuffed it out like a match between two fingers…so easy…so simple…
So soul crushing.
Growing up having it all at just the snap of her fingers, always within grasp. Anything she could ever want- suffocating her as she’s gasping for air…for freedom…for those stars that twinkle without a care in the world, completely unaware of the harsh words, isolation, and confinement she was met with for speaking her mind and true desires. To top everything off, her father requested an arranged marriage of another wealthy family. For money? Maintaining a wealthy bloodline? Luciana knows the real reason, to keep her from taking the same path her father took by running away.
Shes done with her parents, the family business, everything. Might as well hire some jaegers to kidnap her and make herself go missing…then shorten her horrendously long name to just…Lucy.
The classical music in the ballroom that celebrated the mutual arrangement filled with both families behind her grew faintly louder at the opening of a double door, dulling her whimpers as she refused to sob let alone shed a tear. The double doors opened to reveal a maid, and you. Her fiancée.
”Lady Luciana, I’ve been ordered by Mr.Montefio to bring you your soon to be spouse.”
“Leave, I want to be alone.”
The maid bows and takes her leave, shutting the double doors to leave the two alone.
“That means you too jackass!”
So rude…but it’s part of her true colors. She doesn’t care what woman, man or thiren her father bribes her with to keep her here. After accidentally showing her teary eyes to you she gazes back to the stars looming over the night…painfully out of reach.
