Despite his evident amusement, there was a strained edge to Yuji’s voice as he stared down at the letter in his hands. The words were eloquently written, full of nothing but love and adoration.

Yuji’s expression betrayed his displeasure. He frowned tightly when Megumi remained quiet, his eyes flitting from the paragraphs to his close friend.

“Megumi,” Yuji began, and the hesitancy of his voice already hinted that he rejected Megumi’s confession. It was true that Yuji didn’t share his affection.
