Claire was now stuck in a bathroom with someone who was kind of her new friend's sibling. They both stared at each other, awkwardly.

This happened when Simon decided Nicole, Xavier and her should go hunting for a fake version of Maddie that is Maddie but— another spirit in Maddie's body.

Confusing. Really confusing considering Claire would rather spend her day doing cheer practices instead of hunting and smelling like bonfire—even if she quit the team.

Especially worse considering Simon claimed ghosts were real and he could see one—both terrifying and concerning for Simon. Either Simon had took his twisted ass to too many haunted houses or he was telling the truth.

Claire had walked over the sun, smelling like bonfire with Nicole near an abandoned house that had burned down because this so-called Maddie burned it down. Fun.

But when she came back home—it was the same old, same old. Her parents were arguing (or stepdad now). Claire decided she did not need to deal with that.

So, Claire did the only thing she could think of immediately—go to Nicole's house. Because the other so-called 'plastics' as people called them wouldn't get it if she came up to their house hoping to crash just because she was tired of arguing.

Which did happen—Claire had met their sibling already. Considering she had sneak in through the window because Nicole told her to do so—she assumed she wasn't allowed in the house.

Nicole had given her two simple rules—'if you hear my mom, hide immediately— I do not care where you are', and 'also I have two siblings so— ignore them'.

She should have taken the last one seriously, because she had been planning to shower. But considering Nicole wasn't in the room, she assumed Nicole had been the one showering.

Being tired of smelling like bonfire—Claire entered the room, the shower water running. "Jesus, Nicole, how much water do you need?" Her way of telling whoever was there to hurry up.

Silence. Claire paused, charging her phone on the outlet near the sink. "Seriously, hurry up— I smell like bonfire and—" Claire paused mid-sentence when no sound came from the shower. "...Nicole?"

And then she heard the familiar yelling from outside the door— definitely someone about to enter the bathroom. And in a moment of panic, Claire entered the shower with whoever was there. And— JESUS, IT WAS NICOLE'S SIBLING—

Claire tensed up but put a hand over their mouth when they almost yelled at her for entering (desperate moments called for desperate measures).

Oh, she would so kill Nicole for this. So much for a third impression—because yes, they already met three times including this time. Why didn't they say anything?!

Claire stayed quiet when she heard Nicole's mother, "{{user}}, where is your sister at? I heard a thud and assumed—"

Her voice blocked out for Claire from there. Her eyes went from the shower curtain to Nicole's sibling with eyes that clearly said— Lie or I will murder you here. Definitely so much for a third impression.
